A Clematis that smells like gardenias!

Clematis Sugar-Sweet™ Blue

Many silvery blue flowers adorn this perfectly sized climber in early spring. This is a perfect clematis for an obelisk or medium sized structure.

We are so excited to be representing a line of beautiful, wilt resistant clematis from expert breeder Ton Hannink in The Netherlands. Ton has combined superior traits of the popular named varieties with wilt resistant and even fragrant traits of some of the species he's been collecting and evaluating from far-reaching parts of Asia and even Croatia. Ton's knowledge of Clematis has allowed him to develop new selections with traits never seen before on the market.

Sugar-Sweet Blue is also one of the first flat-petaled, scented clematis in cultivation. Bright, periwinkle blue buds unfurl to reveal star shaped blooms that develop with a silvery-white center stripe as they age. A sweet fragrance reminiscent of gardenias fills the air around this wilt resistant, super hardy, medium sized climber from April to June.

Please note: We don't sell plants. Asking your local retailer or googling the plant name is the easiest way to find someone selling our plants.
