Aloe Spineless Hedgehog®

Urn shaped and spineless.

Did someone say they saw a Hedgehog in the garden? We’ve got something even better, one without spines. An upright, urn-shaped aloe, Spineless Hedgehog™ blooms with spikes of coral-red flowers in spring and again in late summer. This is the perfect plant for hot, dry locations, and it makes quite an impression in the front of a border or as a container specimen, offering months of vibrant color. If it isn’t cold hardy in your region, you can bring it in doors for months of enjoyment near a sunny window. As long as you don’t over water it during the winter, it will thrive indoors and be ready to go the following spring when you can out it back outside.
