Clematis Burning Love™

A red clematis that does not wilt!

We are so excited to be representing a line of beautiful, wilt resistant clematis from expert breeder Ton Hannink in The Netherlands. Ton has combined superior traits of the popular named varieties with wilt resistant and even fragrant traits of some of the species he's been collecting and evaluating from far-reaching parts of Asia and even Croatia.  Ton's knowledge of Clematis has allowed him to develop new selections with traits never seen before on the market.

Burning Love (also called 'Vitiwester' in Europe) is a cross between the deep red, velvety flowered 'Westerplatte' and a pale blue selection of the species C. viticella, which is resistant to wilt.  The luscious, velvety red blooms are plentiful on this late summer bloming, medium sized climber
