New for 2022
We are happy to be introducing three Perfectly Purple new plants for 2022. These late-season flowering perennials will add so much fun and dimension to any sunny border, or mixed perennial bed. Full sun is where it is at for this purple-licious collection.
From the Chicago Botanic Garden breeding program - Vitex Summertime Blues is a compact, super hardy chaste tree with loads of lavender-purple flowers in mid to late summer and into fall.
From the breeder of Stokesia 'Mels Blue' comes with it has a compact habit and an amazing amount of flowers. If you are looking for added color in the garden center in late summer or a perfectly formed border plant for any sunny garden, Mini Mels is the one for you.
And last, but certainly not least, a breeding breakthrough in fall flowering anemones, we bring you Anemone 'Frilly Knickers, found by British Garden Center guru and superstar Rosemary Hardy, and given to Plants Nouveau by our friends at Plants for Europe. A superb selection with dainty, yet rough double flowers in white with a periwinkle back and bright yellow center. This plant is the perfect height for the middle of the border, topping out at 2' tall in full flower. And boy does it flower! It is covered with blooms from August to September.
