Weigela Shining Sensation™
It’s easy to see why Weigelia was a favored landscape shrub for grandma, and still rates on the top of the list today. A true performer, these adaptable plants offer months of bloom and often have attractively colored foliage. Funnel-shaped flowers are particularly attractive to hummingbirds, and long, arching stems provide a handsome architectural element to the mixed border.
This is a fast growing shrub with a gracefully arching habit, guaranteed to add season-long color and it's one of the first plants hummingbirds come to in the spring. The shiny burgundy foliage stands up to humid, summer heat and a profusion of pink flowers make this new selection even more special. Shining Sensation is happiest in full sun in the northern states to part shade in coastal regions. This plant is being offered through the First Editions Plant program,
