Angela and Linda’s Garden Notes:
Don’t let the compact size of Magical Volcano mislead you! This plant erupts in a blaze of color in the spring with heavily serrated, garnet-red leaves. As the leaves mature, they become a deeper burgundy with coppery-brown undertones, until the entire plant turns rich, olive green. From revolutionary breeding, and in keeping with its name, this exciting new red tip produces a color burst of new leaves 2-3 times per year.
Versatile due to its compact size, and amazing performance, Magical Volcano can be used in urban spaces where common red tip would never fit. Performs best when given protection from harsh winds in the northern extension of its growing range.
