Angela and Linda’s Garden Notes:

Magical Globe is a dwarf growing form of Betula pendula.  When grafted onto a Himalayan white birch standard, it forms a distinctly shaped patio and garden tree. The slow growing, tight branches form a rounded ball atop the silver white trunk of the Himalayan birch creating the look of a lollipop.  It is the first birch with a spherical habit that can be grafted at any height, and requires little or no trimming to keep its rounded form. Flank any path or entryway with one on each side or give them more height and put them in a large all-weather container, and underplant the stems with colorful annuals each summer.
